Various walking tours
There are several walking routes starting from or around your accommodation. There is a good network of trails in Fulufjället National Park and the trails are well marked. There are guided walking tours from the visitor centre of the park organised twice a week. Some of the possible walking routes are:
• Njupeskärslingan: the trail takes you to the top of Njupeskär waterfall. You start at the visitor centre, walk through forests and hike among boulders with many coloured lichens. Length of the walk: 4 km.
• Göljån nature trail: a 2.5-km nature trail leads you through the steep valley to experience the forces of nature. The valley was left untouched after the immense rainfall in 1997 when the whole landscape changed. The walk can be extended with a loop around the headwaters of Göljånsdalen, exploring the high plateau.
• Walking on the plateau: from the visitor center you can walk in 3 to 6 hours to the plateau of Fulufjället with lakes, including Rörsjön, a lovely place to explore.
• Primeval forest trail: not too far from the accommodation there is a nature trail leading through a primeval forest - a truly adventurous experience. You can walk on a narrow path and enjoy the old forest with fallen trees and an amazing variety of mosses and lichens.
For information on walking possibilities you can contact the reception of Fulufjällsbyn.
