Highlights of the holiday
Enjoy Fulufjället in a 100% natural way, immerse yourself in pure nature! These 8 days provide for an exciting active programme to discover Fulufjället’s values: the highest waterfall in Sweden, primeval forests, the unique plateau and the park’s rich wildlife. We walk, canoe, ride a mountain bike to see it all from our base, a beautiful wooden house converted into a hostel.

Activities by days
Day 1 – Travel to Fulufjället National Park
Flight to Oslo, Norway and transfer to Fulufjället National Park and your accommodation for the whole stay: Turistgården Särna
Day 2 – Learning about Fulufjället and walking in its forests to Njupeskär waterfall
We drive to the visitor centre of Fulufjället National Park and after we get introduced to the park we walk through stunning forests and the plateau to the highest waterfall in Sweden, Njupeskär.
Day 3 – Dramatic flash flood walk Göljån
We will start today’s hike from the Brottbäckstuganhut go up in the fjäll to the Göljåncreek. Here we will have a steep descent into the gorge. In 1997 there was a very dramatic flash flood here with a remarkable devastation as a result. Now, after 14 years, the vegetation is returning. We will walk in total 17 km over fjäll, swamp and trough the forest
Day 4 – Mountain bike tour
During the morning will we visit the nearby forest museum, Lomkällan.
After this visit will we continue our bike tour northwest of Särna on gravel roads .We cycle through a beautiful area with interesting geological phenomena of erosion and ancient volcanic de bris. A short walk takes us to Mount Skönåsen (580 m) offering a beautiful view of the area. We will cycle in total 25 km
Day 5 –Old wooden church
During this morning will we cykel to the old wooden church in Särna. Here will you hear more about the history from Saran. The lunch is a typical one from this area. The afternoon is free to spend. You can take a bike, ore ride a horse, or perhaps pay Annika on the old farm in Lissåvallen a visit.
Day 6 –Städjan
Today is it time to walk to the top from the Städjan. In this area live the most southern sami group Here is a big chance to see reindeer. The area is complete different than Fulufjället.
Day 7 – Combining canoeing, walking and cycling
Today we canoe to Fjätfallen with many stops along the way to enjoy river scenery. At Fjätfallen we take a short hike and then cycle back to Särna (10 km).
Day 8 – Travel to Amsterdam
Transfer to Oslo and flight to Amsterdam.
