PAN Parks Wilderness in Fulufjället is a unique example of a homogeneous, unfragmented piece of wilderness in the Scandinavian mountains

The wilderness area of this park provides an excellent example of a boreal forest ecosystem providing homeland for Scandinavian animals such as the brown bear, wolves, lynx and moose. The most extensive fields of lichens - not damaged by the grazing of semi-domestic reindeers - can be found in the centre of the wilderness area - at the top of the table mountain.
