Renbiten is a small family business offering different experiences related to the Sami culture. They offer Sami adventures both multi-day trips and shorter - half or full day - tours. Renbiten also provides visitors information about the region and Sami culture with slide shows etc. Services can be tailor-made to client’s wishes. In their small shop you can buy self-produced reindeer meat, game meat and fish, Sami handicraft, reindeer fur and horns.
Renbiten is located in the northwestern part of Dalarna in Storsätern, Grövelsjön. To get here you can drive a car or you can use the public transport. The area offers opportunities for hiking and overnight stays for enjoying wilderness of Fulufjället.
Gåetije turen - a magic adventure
This is an extraordinary adventure of Sami culture, where you will have the opportunity to experience the calm, the silence and a chance for the soul to find peace - an experience you will carry with you for a long time.
We walk to a genuine Sami tipi enjoying magnificent mountain nature scenery, with spectacular views of the Norwegian mountains and Grövelsjön. There is a great opportunity to spot reindeers with their calves and other games like moose or also eagles.
At the tipi, we sit together on reindeer furs around Aernien, the fireplace, and listen to stories about the Sami people and about Peter’s family both about the past and the present. You will also enjoy a Sami meal, fresh coffee and some Sami delicacies, such as dried reindeer meat. You will also have the opportunity to learn the noble art of how to throw a lasso.
There is a half-an-hour walk needed to get to the tipi. The tour is available year around. All necessary equipment is available, however, shoes and clothing for all weather is needed. In wintertime you need snowshoes, their price is 120 SwedishKR /day.
The maximum number of people in one group is 12 people or larger groups after agreement with us. There is possibility of maximum of two groups per day. You can book the activity by phone or by email.

Aevijeturen- experience the everyday life of a reindeer herder
Come and meet our reindeer “Plupp” and have a walk with him up to our tipi. Here we are sitting on reindeer furs, listen to the sounds from Aernien, the fireplace, and stories about the everyday life of a reindeer herder and from the eight seasons of the Sami year.
Enjoy a Sami meal, fresh coffee cooked over the fire and some Sami delicacies. Why not try the Sami way of drinking coffee, with a small piece of dried reindeer meat in the cup. You will also have the opportunity to learn the noble art of how to throw a lasso.
