active promotion of local and sustainable tourism
A multi-national, inter-disciplinary team of university teachers, researchers and consultants of rural development worked together for 3 years in the Euracademy project with the central aim to promote in a real, practical and substantial way the sustainable development processes in rural areas. The Euracademy Association was formally launched during the end-of-project conference in November 2003 in Hungary.
The 11th Summer Academy is organised by the Euracademy Association in cooperation with the Estonian University of Life Sciences, on the theme “Rural Tourism Revisited” in Tartu, Estonia and will take place on 24th June–1st July 2012. Within the conference programme June 29 is dedicated to the partners of the EC funded European Ecotourism Knowledge Network. Therefore PAN Parks Foundation was also invited to speak about its tourism model and share the lessons learned.
