Research agenda
As the issue of wilderness is becoming a more and more frequently discussed topic by experts of conservation and European policy, there is also a ‘window of opportunity’ for wilderness related research. Simultaneously there are also interesting new funding opportunities emerging. In order to make the best use of this momentum, PAN Parks aims to be a focal point of the wilderness research agenda in Europe and to encourage researchers, scientists to follow and be actively engaged in discussions in defining the research agenda and develop and carry out wilderness related research.
Join discussions about Europe’s wilderness!
PAN Parks hopes to build an active community of researchers, scientists interested in wilderness. We offer a discussion forum for professionals to discuss wilderness related topics such as spreading information about recent research results, finding funding resources, giving update on related professional events and find new partnerships to develop common new researches.
To join the Discussion Group, send an email to Zoltan Kun at zkun [at] panparks [dot] org with your name, institution you work for and possibly some additional information about your fields of interest.
The discussion group is extended with an interactive map displaying upcoming conferences and events in Europe, ongoing European research projects, and institutions that have one or more researcher interested in the field of wilderness. The map can be updated by members of the discussion group.
